• Upgraded the save slots from three to 99
• Introduced “Last Campsite Save”, which automatically saves your progress up to the last campsite you have visited

While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build722.3, that can be used to switch back to the previous version. Please note however that you can only play multiplayer with people that share your version.

We are planning further patches beyond this one to address various issues that have come out of consumer feedback since the release of the game.

AMD just released a new beta driver. The new Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 includes fixes for an intermittent hang when CrossFire is used in Crysis 3 after its first patch.

A tweet from @AMDRadeon says BETA 7 is the recommended driver for upcoming Tomb Raider: Survivor Reborn, an AMD Gaming Evolved title.

Catalyst 13.2 BETA 7 contains all previous fixes and performance improvements found on earlier versions of Catalyst 13.2 drivers. A separate CAP is not needed.

Looks like TressFX can be used for other rendering tasks besides hair and physics simulation as well, like vegetation. No information about other titles using the technology was disclosed, though (I guess) AMD might be offering TressFX to game devs through its AMD Gaming Evolved program.

Here is some screenshots showing the difference between normal hair rendering and with TressFX. Sadly there’s no videos showing the effect of her hair moving through the wind.

I guess it’s something related to physics calculated on GPU. Anyway, is nice to see new features coming up, there’s also another top secret DirectX 11 feature going to make its debut on upcoming Tomb Raider game, which is an AMD Gaming Evolved title. Maybe they’re related? We’ll see…
