The third patch for Crysis 3 is alive! The new patch 1.3 fixes a bunch of issues and adds support for AMD Eyefinity and HD3D.

To download the 33.7 MB patch, just open your Origin client and the update should start automatically.

There is another patch with 26.6 MB to address some issues found on previous patch released a few days ago.

To address some performance issues that arose with the release of Patch 1.3, a small update has been released. Please update your game by downloading when prompted, or by right-clicking on the Crysis 3 icon and selecting “Check for Update” in Origin.

AMD will start distributing SimCity Origin’s keys for APUs model A8 and A10 – A8 5500, A8 5600K, A10 5700 and A10 5800K – when bought at selected retailers.

AMD “Trinity” A8 5500 starts at around US$ 100 and SimCity, launched at March 5th, is sold currently at US$ 60, incredible value added bundle for sure whether you disagree with SimCity price tag or don’t like SimCity at all.

The performance chart above made available by AMD shows A8 5600K (US$ 110) performing nicely at 1080p/Low Lightning setting, whereas an Intel Core i3 3325 (US$ 145) alone and even coupled with an NVIDIA GT 620 (US$ 50) are way behind the A8 5600K APU.

The promotion is said to start at April 14th but there’s no confirmation about which regions will get the deal.

Rage3D attended AMD’s GDC 2013 press event and spoke with key figures to find out more about their Gaming Unified program and where Radeon graphics powered by GCN – Graphics Core Next – are going in 2013.

AMD announced new products like AMD Radeon HD 7990, a dual-GPU video card – the fastest video card on AMD’s Radeon lineup and perhaps the world’s fastest too, this time with a cooling solution newer to Radeon series (but already seen on FirePro series) that’s expected to give whisper quiet operation, accordingly to AMD words.

To heat up competition in cloud gaming market, they showcased the new AMD FirePro Sky Series engineered to bring high fidelity games to the cloud, where a single Tahiti GCN GPU can provide up to six 720p streams at 30 FPS altogether with a newer technology called AMD RapidFire, an open API designed to deliver HD visual quality, low latency and optimal network usage, key factors to the cloud gaming success.

AMD also revealed Project Phoenix featuring Ruby in a great comeback using Crytek’s CryEngine 3 and all new graphics effects, optimized for use with GCN features.

The new version supports Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution and Sleeping Dogs, all in one download. More games will be added to the tool in a near future and the objective is pack all Adrenaline Benchmark Tools in the new one, making life even more easier for benchmark addicted enthusiasts and professional reviewers by allowing the benchmark of several games like DiRT Showdown, Crysis 2, F1 2012 and other already featured games in the Adrenaline Tools series.

To get the performance patch (118 MB), just fire up your Steam client and the update should be downloaded automatically.

The patch will change the version displayed at the launcher to 1.01.730.0

New fixes in 730.0:

• Upgraded the save slots from three to 99
• Introduced “Last Campsite Save”, which automatically saves your progress up to the last campsite you have visited
• Added stereoscopic 3D reticle
• Fixed issues with the discovery of the Unworthy campsite.
• Fixed a problem that occurred when traveling back to the Sacred Hall Basecamp after that story has been completed

While we expect this patch to be an improvement for everyone, if you do have trouble with this patch and prefer to stay on the old version we made a Beta available on Steam, Build722.3, that can be used to switch back to the previous version. Please note however that you can only play multiplayer with people that share your version.

We are planning further patches beyond this one to address various issues that have come out of consumer feedback since the release of the game.

Developed by Irrational Games, BioShock Infinite is a first-person shooter video game and the 3rd installment in the BioShock series, in contrast with previous Bioshock and Bioshock 2 that occurs in underwater city “Rapture”, Bioshock Infinite takes place in air-city “Columbia”.

Reviewers of PC version seem to be in love to it, with IGN giving an amazing 9.5 of 10, and an outstanding metascore of 95 out of 100 at Metacritic, making it a serious candidate for GOTY.
